High Res Photo Capture in Dot3D

Add high resolution 2D imagery to your Dot3D data sets by utilizing the HD photo capture feature during scanning. This convenient feature grants users the ability to capture higher resolution 2D photographs (from the tablet/phone camera or the 3D camera) at particularly important moments/perspectives during scanning. These stillframes are then automaticallty added to the data as individually selectable HD viewpoints, with image frustra showing the unique position and angle of each image that was taken.

This feature can be particularly useful for visual inspection and evidence documentation use cases. Each high resolution photograph adds resolution and clarity to the scene from that perspective, helping to highlight points of interest, add additional 2D detail, and assist with legibility on small text / equipment tags. All photos are stored locally within the compressed DP file, and are available for export anytime (with location info).
